Swiss Steak is a nutritious and healthy recipe recommended by Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach Matt Hartsky.
- 1.5 pounds Cube Steak (factory tenderized steak)
- 4 Roma tomatoes diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 Green pepper, sliced into thin strips
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Sear steak in large frying pan coated with olive oil. About 5 minutes then flip and sear other side. Salt and pepper the steak as needed. Transfer to a plate. I same pan add vegetables, garlic and oregano. Cover and allow to cook until tomatoes have become juicy. About 5-7 minutes. Push sauce to the side. Add the cooked steak and mix the sauce around steak pieces. Cook on low, covered for another 5-7 minutes. Enjoy.
